Made In USA

Tychem® TK exhibits excellent chemical barrier properties and offers an extremely durable fabric that is puncture- and tear-resistant.

Tychem® TK fabric shows at least 30 minutes of barrier protection to 322 challenge chemicals with no observed breakthrough. Tychem® TK is specifically developed for protection against toxic, corrosive gases, liquids and solid chemicals. This high-performance chemical barrier fabric is suited for industrial, HazMat, and domestic preparedness applications. DuPont™ Tychem® TK Encapsulated Training Suit. Expanded Back, Rear Entry. Extra-Wide Visor, 1 Layer: 20 mil PVC. Attached Butyl Gloves. Attached Socks with Outer Boot Flaps. Storm Flap. Serged Seams. Lime Yellow. Clearly Labeled as a Training Suit.

  • Tychem® TK fully encapsulated training suits offer an economical and effective option for HazMat training. Same fabric and garment design as standard Tychem® TK suits.
  • Multiple interlocking threads are sewn around the raw edges of garment material to create a strong, stress-resistant seam
  • Extra wide (EX) single layer faceshield (20 mil PVC) for wide viewing angle
  • Rear entry design keeps closure away from direct contact with frontal chemical exposure and provides ability to change air bottle on SCBA without removing the entire garment
  • Integrated butyl gloves
  • Internal adjustable waist belt system for support and improved fit
  • Clearly labeled for training use only
  • Made in the USA
  • North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) compliant and Trade Agreement Act (TAA) compliant
  • Available Berry Amendment Compliant
  • Training suits are sold only by the case (1 per case).
Additional Equipment Needed:
  • Wear other appropriate PPE such as, but not limited to, respiratory, eye, head, hand, and foot protection based on the hazard assessment.
  • Suffocation hazard exists. An appropriate open-circuit self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) or air-line supplied respirator must be worn with all encapsulating garments.
  • Wear separate appropriate outer footwear over the garment sock. This garment has attached socks made of garment material. These socks are not suitable to used as outer footwear. They do not have adequate durability or slip resistance to be worn as the outer foot covering.
  • Please read, understand and follow the Tychem® User Manual.

DuPont Fabric Permeation Data - Testing Details
Permeation data obtained per ASTM F739. Normalized breakthrough times (the time at which the permeation rate is equal to 0.1 µg/cm2/min) reported in minutes. All liquid chemicals have been tested between approximately 20°C and 27°C unless otherwise stated. All chemicals have been tested at a concentration of greater than 95% unless otherwise stated. Chemical warfare agents (Lewisite, Sarin, Soman, Sulfur Mustard, Tabun and VX Nerve Agent) have been tested at 22°C and 50% relative humidity per military standard MIL-STD-282.

>   Greater than.
"imm."   Immediate; having a normalized breakthrough time of 10 minutes or less.
blank cells   Fabric has not been tested. The fabric may or may not offer barrier.
*   Actual breakthrough time; normalized breakthrough time is not available.
**   Solid tested, vapor phase permeation measured.
"May be Suitable for Use"   Permeation testing was not conducted.

Wearing Apparel Flammability 16 CFR 1610* Class 1

*Flammability classification based on the USA Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) textile clothing standard. 16CFR1610 tests are used to determine if materials used in apparel have a high level of flammability. Class 1 = normal flammability, Class 2 = intermediate flammability, and Class 3 = high flammability.

NOTE: A Class 1 16CFR1610 rating does not indicate that the material is flame resistant.
