  • Q:

what is the difference between option 1,2 and 3? Also can this be used for fire departments also?

      A:

Option 1 & 2 are both a 24 month warranty sensor's and option 3 carries a 36 month warranty on the sensor. You can choose 1 of 4 sensors for the 2 year models, (H2S, CO, O2, & SO2))and you have a choice of 2 different sensor's (H2S, & CO) for the 3 year model. We sell these to fire departments and the EMS companies, most of the purchasers are a combo of fire and EMS departments where they run both ALS and BLS units out of the same fire station and the engines, trucks, and rescue's all have these on them also, along with the 4 and 5 gas meters they normaly have on board.

At the end of the 2 year or 3 year period, what happens, is the item junked or can it be recharged and recalibrated?

      A:

You will most likey get more than the 2 year or 3 year life out of it,and by then you will want to junk it. I'm basing this on the aveage use that a EMS unit gets out of them here in the states on their first in bag The price to replace the sensor and battery would be more than what you would pay for a brand new one.
