    After inserting the test strip, I get a 24 instead of 25, and it reads "check code". I can not find my manual. Please advise what the code means. If, by chance, it is low battery, what kind of battery?

    I have set up my meter after replacing the batteries. I can not get it to reset to be ready to use. How do I do that? My phone is 650-787-2656 if that is easier than email.

      Follow the below steps to set the time and date
      1. With the meter turned off, press and hold the "OK" button for two seconds to access the Main Menu
      2. press the "up" or "down" arrow and select SET UP then press the "OK" button
      3. press the "up" or "down" arrow to select METER SETTINGS then press the "OK" button
      4. you will have to choose a language before you can change the date and time. Using the "up" or "down" arrow select the language of your choice and then press the "OK" button.
      5. Next select which format you would like the date to be displayed in and press the "OK" button
      6. in the DATE SET UP screen, press the "up" or "down" arrow to change the first value and press okay. Do this until the day, month and year are set.
      7. Once your date is set. on the TIME SET UP screen choose either "AM/PM" or "24 HR" and press the "OK" button
      8. In the TIME SET UP screen choose the correct hour and minutes and press the "OK" button. Note: if you selected AM/PM you now have to select which one currently applies and press the "OK" button.
      9. Next. Confirm your settings by choosing either "YES" or "NO" and pressing the "OK" button. This will save your setting and take you back to the MAIN MENU.

      Please reference Life Scan's website for technical support. There are multiple reasons why this could be showing on your device. Below is the link to their website. From there you can choose your meter and they explain how to troubleshoot the issue you have occurring.

      As long as you use a new strip and decontaminate the device after each use you can use the machine on multiple patients. Make sure to read all manufacturer cleaning specifications before and after use.
