  • Q:

Since there are a number of people with the same problem, there has to be a dysfunction within the mini lite. I have experienced the same problem of not being able to take the end off to change the batteries. This is definitely a manufacturer problem, which was probably already known by the company.

      A:

Marlene no secret or trick, it unscrews, should be 1,2,3 done. How old are your batteries, have they leaked from age, if so that could be the problem. you will need to soak the back end of the light in coke-cola or some other soda to get the acid out of the light.

      A:

      Good Morning, Dick,
In the past I have had this happen to me also, what i did was take the light apart, so you have the tail cap, the body of the light (tube) the light head assembly (that can be taken apart also)i then soaked the corroded parts in soda (i used coke). It works the same way as pouring soda on your battery cables on a car. You could also use baking soda and water to soak the parts in also. Make sure you dry everything before reassembling.

      A:

Tail cap should twist off for the batteries, and you can turn off by twisting the head of the light, as you adjust the light beam
